Cheap Blackberry Phones Pricing is of Paramount Importance

With Apple and low priced Android smartphones eating away considerably into its market share, RIM (Research in Motion) is finding the prevailing situation a little dificult to handle. But one area where it has shown lot of enterprise is the bold pricing policy that it has exhibited right from the beginning. The Blackberry smartphones were never priced too high. At least in the European markets. It has had a very commendable relationship with the network service providers and the mobile phone dealers in the UK where it has been able to sell all its smartphones at prices that are at par with the rivals if not dirt cheap.
The availability of cheap Blackberry mobile phones , therefiore, is a must now and not merely a Marketing gimmick to lure in more and more customers. Voicing this reality and also lending it more credibility is Mr Peter Misek, the industry analyst with Jefferies & Co, who in January, 2011 cautioned RIM about not being complacent and pointed out that a situation that Nokia is facing today due to the onslaught of Apple Iphones and the innumerable Android run smartphone is something that even it can face tomorrow . Misek urged RIM management to adopt a judicious pricing policty to stay afloat in the market place.
But this is something that RIM has so far followed with all its Blackberry smartphones right from day one. It has made available all its smartphones starting with the Bold, Torch, Curve, Pearl series of smartphones. All of these mentioned set of smartphones are available for free under easy priced £ 20 to £ 25 per month Blackberry contracts.
Now, it remains to be seen what kind of Blackberry Playbook deals that the network service providers have in store for us.
Superior technology also is a must!
Cheap Blackberry phones may be something that RIM has managed to get out on the market place, but the other equally important area is technology. It is true that the Canada-based mobile phone compnay has always been the darling of company executives, celebrites and others belonging to the elite class. But technology indeed as opened up and there are far too many options that the buyers have like HTC and Samsung have shown. It needs to upgrade quicktly and price it low as well.
